Many of us are familiar with the Black-Capped Chickadee, who is a frequent guest at bird feeders across our area. The cuteness factor of these little grab-and-go seed eaters is off the charts! This particular black-capped chickadee is VERY rare, because it has leucism (an absence of some feather color) so it is missing its characteristic black cap. This photograph was taken in West Suffield CT, only about six feet from the perched bird, using a Sony Alpha 7 III camera. As a result, the bird is very clear while the background is a soft-focus blend of fall colors. The photograph itself is 8x10, matted in off-white, framed to 11x14 in black.
